Tuscany / Massa / House in San Carlo - Massa
San Carlo above Massa
San Carlo is known for the mineral water that bubbles out of the ground here and for the beautiful sea view it offers. From here, the route continues into the hills and mountains. In between there is a lot of forest.
At one point there is a house from the 70's on a 5500m2 plot (forest and meadow with olives, slope with terraces). Well-kept, habitable, in need of renovation according to taste. It has a conversionable attic, a terrace, outside stairs. Below is land where some animals like donkeys are kept and which is visited by school classes. Part of the driveway is together with this property, but you can build your own gate and driveway. Both properties are fenced off at the bottom, above which the current owner has a strip of land with a vegetable garden. There is a tool shed next to it. Another shed with garage (woodshed) is built into the hill.
House: on one level with fantastic sea view: Hall, dining kitchen on the left, living room with wood stove on the right, further room next to the kitchen - usable as living room or enlargement of the kitchen. 1 bathroom, 3 bedrooms. Electric water heater. Wood stove in the middle of the hall. Water connection available, gas either in the big tank ( built in the ground) or at the street connection available to be connected directly. You have to make the connection yourself.

From the Etruscans to the Romans to the Renaissance, Tuscany is possibly the greatest repository of art in the world, from extraordinary paintings and sculpture to frescoes and architectural masterpieces. Visitors to Tuscany come for many reasons. Many come in search of fine art, others to explore the extraordinary countryside. Gourmets and wine buffs descend on Tuscany to enjoy the simple yet wonderful cuisine and wine. Walkers enjoy the mountain paths, cyclists the rolling hills, summer vacationers the sea coast and islands. Students come to learn the beautiful Italian language and culture. There is a lot to see and do in Tuscany, the difficulty is really where to start. Certainly most should start with Florence, then continue on to Siena and Pisa. The roll call of città di arte, cities of art, is daunting: Arezzo, Cortona, San Gimignano and Lucca are all striking. The more you come to know the region, the more extraordinary Tuscany appears.
