Region in the central south of the Italian boot with the capital Rome and Vatican City in the middle. The coast is not unknown to wide tourism, but not as crowded as other coasts. The port city of Ostia Antica has preserved mosaics and a theatre that can be visited. In the centre of the region are the Apennines and many nature reserves.
